FEDERAL PRIVACY DISCLOSURE

The privacy of the information the Eastmill Federal Credit Union obtains about you is an important part of our relationship with you and each of our members. (Each Federal Credit Union has always been subject to our standard bylaw, Article XIX, 2 which requires that we keep confidential your transactions.) In addition, we disclose our information practices and procedures below.

Categories of Information We Collect

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive on applications and other forms, such as ("your name, address, social security number, assets, income, debts, and other obligations").
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as ("your account balance(s), payment history, parties to transaction, and credit card use").
  • Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency, such as ("your credit history, and credit worthiness").

We do NOT disclose any nonpublic personal information about our members and former members to anyone, except as permitted by law.

We may disclose nonpublic personal information as described above to the following types of third parties:
  • Financial Service Providers, such as ("mortgage bankers, securities broker-dealers, and insurance agents").
  • Non-financial companies, such as ("retailers, direct marketers, airlines, and publishers").
  • Others, such as ("non-profit organizations, political parties").
  • Companies that perform marketing services on behalf or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements.
We may also disclose nonpublic personal information as permitted by law.

Confidentiality and Security

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products and/or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

You May Opt Out

If you prefer that we do not disclose nonpublic information about you to nonaffiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures, that is, you may direct us not to make those disclosures (other than disclosures permitted by law). Non-member joint account holders, co-borrowers and guarantors may exercise this right to opt out. For joint account holders, we will treat an opt-out request as applying to everyone listed on the account unless you direct us otherwise. If you wish to opt out of our disclosures to non-financial companies such as retailers, direct marketers, and publishers, or others such as non-profit organizations, you are requested to send your signed opt out notice in writing to us at one of the following locations:
